1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental and behavioral health services?
   Seeing positive changes in the people we help every day reminds me why this work matters. I am able to stay on task by staying organized, setting small goals throughout my shift, and setting a plan at the beginning of each day. Working with a supportive group of coworkers helps keep me focused and motivated every day.
   
   
2. What’s your favorite part of being part of the CWCC team?
   I am proud to be a part of an organization where I know that I can go to my coworkers if I have any questions. It is a nice feeling like you can count on your team.
   
   
3. How has working at CWCC influenced your own perspective on mental health and self-care?
   I’ve learned you never know who will walk through the door, or what will bring them to need our assistance. It also reminded me that taking care of myself is just as important as caring for others. By setting boundaries and practicing self-care, not mentally taking work home with me, I’m able to stay focused, and give my best support to our clients.

To get to know Ashlee better, we asked her a few questions:

1. How do you stay organized and manage your workload effectively?
   Whenever possible, I complete my notes immediately after sessions to stay on top of documentation. Wednesdays tend to be my busiest day, so I usually finish those notes Thursday morning. I also rely on our CSRs, who are incredible at keeping my schedule organized, accommodating changes, and reminding me of important details. On top of that, I use a desk calendar and make plenty of lists, which help me stay efficient and focused.

2. How does CWCC’s commitment to community impact motivate you in your role?
   I truly appreciate CWCC’s person-centered approach with clients. I’m inspired by the volunteer opportunities that allow us to give back directly, as well as the partnerships with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. These collaborations create a ripple effect that positively impacts the future of our community and being part of that motivates me in my role.

3. How do you create boundaries to protect your mental health while working in a high-demand field like mental health services?
   I’m very intentional about maintaining work-life balance. Work time is for work, but when I’m home or on vacation, I disconnect and remind myself that tasks can wait until the next day. On my days off, I prioritize self-care and family time. We love heading to the mountains to hike or enjoying outdoor family movie nights, especially in October when horror movies are a favorite tradition.

4. If you could have any animal as a pet (real or mythical), what would it be and why?
   If I could choose, I’d probably be Falcor from The NeverEnding Story—or a dragon in general—because the idea of flying anywhere and everywhere is really appealing.

5. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
   If my life had a theme song, it would be Northern Attitude by Noah Kahan. It reflects both where I come from and the resilience I carry moving forward.

Anette has become an essential part of our team at the Wolcott location, and her dedication, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond have not gone unnoticed. She is often described as the “go-to” person for staff and clients alike—someone who brings stability, support, and a welcoming presence to everyone who walks through the door.

New staff note how she helps them get acclimated to both their roles and the office environment, always ready to jump in—whether it’s assisting a client, helping with scheduling, or simply being a friendly, reassuring face during a busy day.

“Anette goes above and beyond every single day. We would be lost without her down here at Wolcott,” one colleague shared. “She goes above and beyond in the teamwork dynamic. She will help jump in when we need it.” Another colleague added, “[she is] always kind and compassionate to clients and co-workers. 1. Is there a project or task you’re particularly proud of? Why?
   I’m proud that my clients are always happy to see me. Also, I’m proud of getting my BHC screenings done because it is critical to our facility and our clients.
   
2. How does CWCC’s focus on mental and behavioral health inspire your work?
   I love what we do to help our community, and clients. I’m afraid that without us the world have less people in it.
   
3. Is there a mantra, affirmation, or mindset that helps you stay positive and focused?
   I’m here for the good of our community and our clients.
   
4. What’s one thing on your bucket list you hope to accomplish?
   Being remembered for the help that I have provided our community. On a personal note, I would love to be able to travel the NASCAR/NHRA circuit for a full season.
   
5. What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?
   With my husband, my dogs, getting my mani/pedis, seeing movies, quilting, and just chilling.

“[Valerie] has stepped up tremendously on getting our Revenue Cycle program under control,” one colleague shared. “We recently had to submit 2,000 insurance claims by hand, and she created templates that were easy for the rest of the team to follow and get them submitted before the deadline by over a week.” Another colleague added, “her attention to detail and professionalism makes her a valued member of the team.”

To get to know Valerie better, we asked her a few questions:

1. Which skills or qualities do you think have contributed most to your success?
   The skills and qualities that have contributed most to my success are pushing myself to learn new things, being a quick learner, and a bookworm. I am also a task and deadline setter, so I know which big projects or items I need to focus on first.
2. What advice would you give to someone joining the CWCC team for the first time?
   It might be rough the first few weeks learning the programs and rules, but if you stick with it and are willing to learn you will know quite a bit in no time. I have learned no place is perfect, so find something that motivates you and keep going.
3. Can you share a small habit or routine that has made a big impact on your mental health?
   A small routine that has made a big impact on my mental health is walking at least thirty minutes each day. I have a hectic life sometimes, but slowing down each evening to walk and listen to music helps settle my brain to mentally and physically feel better.
4. What’s a hobby or activity you’re passionate about?
   An activity I am passionate about is getting out in the mountains, or terrain and riding the trails with my family. It works as stress relief being able to get away from the constant go and to just be present with my family with no devices. 
5. What’s your favorite childhood TV show, cartoon, or movie?
   My favorite childhood TV show was Full House. I remember watching it as a kid and loving the family life they had created.

   Think of my grandbabies – how lucky and blessed I am.
   
4. Who has been the biggest influence in your life, and why?
   I have two … my mom for always being my biggest fan, encouraging me and letting me know how blessed I am. And my dad, for teaching me that no matter what life throws at you, keep going with your head held high.

   Favorite video game is Super Mario Brothers or Dr. Mario.

1. What is one piece of advice you would give to a new employee starting in your role?
   One piece of advice I would always tell someone new is to never be ashamed to ask for help when needed and to always push yourself to do great things. 
   
2. What’s one way you think CWCC supports employee well-being and growth?
   CWCC has shown me that you can push yourself to do great things and be able to eventually achieve what you’re looking to accomplish.
   
3. What hobbies or activities bring you joy and help you recharge?
   A night out on the town and bowling with my friends and being able to sleep all day the next day.

   I would love to go to Australia and see the toilet bowl water go around in the opposite the direction as America.

   I would love to be able to teleport, and my super cool superhero name would be the Devinator.

1. How do you approach challenges or obstacles at work?
   I stay calm and positive and I address them head on.
   
2. How do you see CWCC’s mission and values reflected in your daily work?
   Our shared mission to support and encourage change and healthy sober life for our clients is my biggest driving factor.
   
3. How do you decompress after a particularly stressful day at work?
   I go home and play with my pets – I have 3 dogs one is a pug her name is Ella.  I have a poodle wiener mix named Lilly, and then I have a Chihuahua named Daisy. 
   
4. What’s a favorite book, movie, or TV show you’d recommend?
   I would recommend “Pretty Woman” because it’s romance and funny.
   
5. What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?
   I like to spend my day off by deep cleaning my house and spending time with my kids.

1. What motivates you to do your best work every day?
   As a person in recovery , I strive to help people who are wanting to start their own recovery journey. I feel it is important to give back to others what was given to me. Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes.
   
2. What’s your favorite part of being part of the CWCC team?
   My Coworkers – we have a great group here, who really give it their all and support each other. 
   
3. Do you have a favorite mindfulness or relaxation technique that you’d recommend to others?
   I meditate almost every morning before my feet hit the floor.
   
4. What do you like to do outside of work to unwind or recharge?
   I am a big fan of the outdoors and anything that gives me a reason to get out in nature. 
   
5. If CWCC had an office mascot, what would it be, and what would you name it?
   I think it should be a Phoenix. Something that represents new beginnings. I would name it Icarus.

1. Can you share a memorable moment or accomplishment from your time here?
   I have several memorable moments at CWCC. I think my favorite ones would be working any holiday and trying to make sure that all of our clients feel cared for. 
2. How has the culture at CWCC positively impacted your experience as an employee?
   I really enjoy talking to other staff who are knowledgeable in their areas as they are always willing to explain things. Therapists are always willing to talk about why things happen or how to better understand certain behaviors and all the providers are willing to help staff understand their part of the job and the good it does for clients. Everyone is willing to teach each other and I really appreciate that. 
3. How do you balance your work responsibilities with your personal life? 
   I try to go on little road trips a lot, even if it is to somewhere close. I try to make sure that I can get away and disconnect from everything even for just a bit. If I am unable to go somewhere out of town I like to watch the sunset a lot from the top of the mountain. 
4. If you could learn a new skill or hobby instantly, what would it be?
   Playing the piano.
5. If you were a contestant on a game show, which one would you absolutely crush?
   I would like to think I would crush “Are You Smarter Than A 5th grader.”

I also enjoy working with people to determine which needs I can assist with to relieve stress and connect them to valuable resources in the community.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Southeast Asia & Ireland. I’ve always wanted to see these places because they’re beautiful and have rich cultures. I’ve heard the people there are very friendly.

My favorite part of working at CWCC is the support I receive from my coworkers and getting to know all our clients on a first-name basis.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I like that I can help people in need. It feels good to see them progress in their treatment here.

The most interesting thing I’ve done recently is made a terrarium with my mother, and it has Halloween décor inside.

If I could have any superpower, I would want to fly. Then I could go anywhere without the cost of travel.

If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would travel to Norway and see where my grandparents lived and grew up.

Not super recently, but I went to the Bahamas in March. It was super pretty and warm, and we took a boat to Pig Island and watched them swim.

Anywhere warm with a cool ocean breeze. I would hike, bike, swim, and have enough time to learn to golf.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I love being a part of people’s change process. It’s difficult to change our habits, patterns, and thoughts, and being a part of the bridge to healing is fun. I also love that there are so many different services available to the community we serve. I enjoy the ability to constantly learn and grow in my professional and personal life.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
No two days are the same. I enjoy seeing client’s growth and resilience while working towards their fullest potential.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I recently took a vacation with my husband to Boston and New Hampshire. We learned about and enjoyed the historical sites and the ocean.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to fly. Then, I could go anywhere at the drop of a hat.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Germany and Ireland. I would love to learn more about my heritage.

Kristin has been selected as one of the Employees of the Month for August. She is a case manager for our school-based program and an amazing addition to our team! She consistently goes above and beyond, always offering a helping hand and readily stepping up to support her colleagues.

To get to know Kristin better, we asked her a few questions.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I appreciate the support I receive from coworkers and enjoy working with the school-based team!

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I feel like my job has purpose, and I am helping fill a need in my community.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
My husband and I recently went on a horse-packing trip up the Greybull River and camped at Kirwin, a ghost town where Amelia Earhart was building a cabin before she disappeared.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To be fluent in every language.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
My husband and I are getting ready to travel to Iceland to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! It’s been on my bucket list for a long time now, so I’m excited to finally have the chance to go.

Kiefer, who to some is known as our IT specialist and to others known as the wizard of fixing things as soon as he walks through the door, was nominated because he is very helpful and quick to respond and fix whatever the issue may be. He does great work, and we are grateful to have him on the team! 

To get to know Kiefer better, we asked him a few questions.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
My co-workers are always happy to see me because they understand that I’m there to help, which is extremely refreshing from some other places I’ve worked. Even if they’re frustrated with the issue they’re running into, they don’t take it out on me and understand that we’re on the same team.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I really appreciate how much what I have to say is taken into consideration. I get the feeling that I can actually affect change here in a very real and tangible way.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I upgraded my home media server to be able to store and stream 4k video over my local network.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation, and that’s the only correct answer. I will argue this at length if called to do so.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I’m not sure it’s a specific place, but I think it’d be neat to go see one of those huge Anechoic chambers and experience real proper quiet.

Matthew, a provisional clinical social worker, was nominated for being the definition of a team player! Matthew goes above and beyond providing excellent services to his clients as well as team members, and steps into help wherever he is needed.

To get to know Matthew better, we asked him a few questions.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
My favorite part of working at CWCC are my amazing coworkers and the population we provide services to. I really enjoy how everyone works together as a team and the sense of a supportive community we have. 

What do you like most about the work you do here?
 What I like most about the work I do is being able to support individuals through their challenges and witnessing their growth and resilience is incredibly rewarding. 

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
The most interesting thing I have done recently is going to North Carolina to celebrate my brother graduating with his master’s in accounting. Much of my family was able to come to celebrate and we spent a week at a rental on the beach with my brother and his wife celebrating and enjoying the ocean and each other’s company. 

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
 I would choose the ability to understand and speak any language as it would allow me to communicate with everyone and get a better understanding of the world. 

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
It’s a tough choice as there are so many amazing places I would love to go, but I think I would have to pick Egypt. I have always been intrigued by Egypt and the amazing history and culture they have. Of course, I would be interested in going to the great pyramids as well. 

Randa is one of our employees of the month!

To get to know Randa better, we asked her a few questions.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
Getting to know the clients when they come in, and they are happy to see you as you walk them to the providers. I really enjoy helping our patients.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I love learning all about the psych and rehab world. This is my first job in this field, I came into this not knowing anything really about it. I love that I can ask questions to the providers, my coworkers, and therapists when I don’t quite understand something. I have really learned a lot in my short time here. The more I learn the more I can better help our patients. I cannot wait to see what else CWCC offers me in my health care journey.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I have traveled all over the US. I have experienced different cultures, food, and amazing sights that most people wait to see or never do. This experience has also helped me in the medical field. I have experienced all kinds of life, and it truly has helped me become more caring and compassionate.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would be invisible.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Australia, I would want to see all the wildlife! Plus, I love Australian accents.

Jaycee is one of our employees of the month!

To get to know Jaycee better, we asked her a few questions.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
My favorite part of working at CWCC is the people I work with. I have an amazing team of Client Service Representatives, and the agency as a whole shows their dedication to helping those who come through our doors day in and day out.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I like being able to help people. Oftentimes, making it to the agency is the hardest part for someone seeking help. One of the most important things I can do is make sure they feel heard and understood and help them navigate through our intake process to ensure they receive the quality care they deserve to keep them coming back.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
We unexpectedly adopted a 7 month old puppy about a month ago. She’s pretty cute!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I’d prefer a Hogwarts letter over a superpower.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
My boyfriend and I are currently preparing for our trip to Scotland and Ireland in October!

Justis is a Residential Technician in the Residential Substance Abuse program. He is client-focused, going above and beyond to help where needed. His confident attitude reinforces the positive work culture at CWCC.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
My favorite part is being able to share my story with the clients and show them a life of sobriety is possible and worth it.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I like being able to help the clients progress in their program and watch them grow.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
My med training has been the most interesting thing I’ve done recently.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would want to be the Flash.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I want to visit the Azore Islands of Portugal to see where my family comes from.

Debbie is one of our employees of the month. She recently transitioned from a Residential Technician to a  Recovery Specialist after taking the Peer Specialist course and passing her exam!  She demonstrates professionalism in her job, willingness to help out in several programs, and makes a great impact in our client’s lives!

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I enjoy getting to know new clients and being able to share the tools I have learned in my recovery journey.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Helping others in their journey and interacting with coworkers, directors, therapists, and other team members.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
Learning to paint.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Time travel

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
New York, to see some of the plays on Broadway.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I love seeing the clients blossom into the people they always wanted to be.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I feel very honored to be a part of someone’s journey in healing.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I traveled to Billings for a conference about sex and love addiction.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To heal the sick and raise the dead.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to India and be love in action by loving people in a way that is tangible (feeding the hungry, building, teaching).

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
Getting to know the clients and learning new things.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Being able to make co-workers and clients smile.

Becoming the Central Scheduler

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Not sure.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Townsend, Tennessee. That is where my husband and I got married.

The employees.

The reward of seeing it better than it was.

Cut the wrap of my son’s boat (due to wind).

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Strength

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
To Ireland, I think it would be cool.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I love working alongside amazing people and making an amazing impact on a person’s recovery and stability.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Skill building sometimes looks like bowling, fishing, grocery shopping, picking out
Christmas presents, or adopting a cat! I have the coolest job ever.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I crocheted my first granny square yesterday. Absolutely thrilling.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Reading minds, but only if I had the ability to turn it off.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
India, Ireland, Mexico, Greece, Rome, Canada… How could I ever pick just one?

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
The people. Clients & Staff.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Feeding hungry people good food.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I got married in October 2023 after 28 years of being single.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would like to be able to be in two places at the same time.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to go back to Germany and take my family. I could show my son where he was born. It is such a beautiful place.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
The opportunity to help others in the community.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
The “Aha!” moments. Every once in a while, I get to witness moments of profound insight. Whether that’s the clients piecing things together or us as a team. It’s by far my favorite part.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I went to a Tool concert.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would want Retrocognition, like from Watchmen or Sway from X-men.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Ireland, because it is absolutely breathtaking, and I love the way they speak.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I started working at CWCC in September 2023. On the second day of work, I learned that my certification board required an additional course before I could become certified. I am so grateful to CWCC administrators for working with me while I completed this additional and unexpected requirement! During my time awaiting my certification I was able to provide medical services as a family nurse practitioner. I also had the opportunity to learn about alcohol withdrawal management. Through this learning, I developed a standing order protocol, which I hope will be helpful as we expand this service here at CWCC. Upon completion of the required course, I was approved by the certification board to sit for my licensing examination, and I am so thankful to report that I passed!

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I have enjoyed learning about the many different programs that are available here at CWCC. During these past few months, I have really treasured the opportunity to meet many of my colleagues. It has been exciting to learn about the valuable services they each provide.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
The course that was required for my certification was Advanced Pathophysiology. Although it was unfortunate that the need for this course delayed my certification, I honestly loved taking it! I learned so much and feel I am a more knowledgeable provider because of the content in this course!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
This is an interesting question! I have lived in many countries around the world. My late husband was from the island nation of Fiji and I learned a great deal about island culture while living and working in Fiji. I would love to travel back to Fiji to see my nieces and nephews again. Unfortunately, I may not be able to go to Fiji anytime soon. However, I do have a nephew living in Mexico. He is getting married later this year. I look forward to traveling with my husband to Oaxaca, Mexico, to celebrate with my nephew for this wonderful occasion!

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
Seeing the success of our residents and the staff I work with.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Being able to help people and watching the growth they make while here.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I became a new grandma and traveled to Texas.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To see myself through other’s eyes and take pain away.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
The Dead Sea. I would love to see Bethlehem and soak in the sea.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
Working with the youth.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
The relationships that I have made and the support that I have received from my school-based team.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The superpower of teleportation.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Italy; the culture.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
What isn’t my favorite part of CWCC? I think my favorite part of CWCC is being a part of a team that wants to help the community and promote growth internally and externally.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
What I like most about the work that I do here is being able to promote micro, mezzo, and macro change. I am able to grow personally and professionally. I am never doing the same thing every day, and I enjoy working with the clients I am meant to serve. I like the diverse programs that are offered at CWCC.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
The most interesting thing I have done was begin to promote change in our residential treatment facility.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
If I could have any superpower, it would be to shape-shift into any animal so I can talk.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to Czechoslovakia as that is where my last name originated from, and it is so culturally diverse and has beautiful scenery.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I like the people I work with. There are a ton of incredible staff whose dedication to the clients really shines through their work.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I feel good about being able to make an impact on people who struggle to ask for help and who find a way to make it here to the building.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I learned how to do some DIY bathroom remodeling, including some important things not to do if you don’t want to flood a bathroom.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would want to stop time like Piper from Charmed, that was always my favorite. I don’t think this one will ever change.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
Seeing the growth that clients make during their stay here.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
Helping those who are going through tough times better themselves.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I had an interesting Thanksgiving dinner due to illnesses and distance where three households facetimed in order to still celebrate with family. In this way, I was able to see my younger sister for the first time in two years.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
It would be teleportation. Being able to go where I wanted without travel time or expense would be enjoyable.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to travel to Poland where my family lived before immigrating to the United States.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I enjoy having the opportunity to meet with clients and hear their stories to identify the ways that CWCC can assist them and to engage them in services to meet their needs.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I enjoy meeting with a variety of clients. Every client is unique, which makes each day different and challenging. I enjoy working with coworkers who are supportive and equally committed to helping clients with their concerns.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I recently traveled to Washington State for my husband’s family reunion. Also, the time I get to spend with my grandchildren is fun and interesting!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
My superpower would be to teleport myself to wherever I wanted to go. This would reduce my commute time. I also wouldn’t have to travel by plane.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to travel to Ireland and England. My mother was an Irish immigrant from England, so I would like to experience her homeland.

What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
I enjoy working where I feel like I can make a difference in my community.

What do you like most about the work you do here?
I like supporting a team of people dedicated to helping others.  Mental health issues and addiction are major problems, and I’m very proud to support a team dedicated to helping people overcome these obstacles.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
I recently became co-chair of the safety committee.  In that role I’ve worked with our safety team to design emergency drills that better prepare our team for those critical moments.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Easy!  Super-speed.  Have you seen gas prices?

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I think London would be great.  Getting to see a new part of the world but still being able to communicate.  Paris is a close second, though.

Brandon started with CWCC 4 years ago. During that time, he has steadily achieved advancement in finance. We are excited to announce that Brandon has accepted the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. Please join us in congratulating Brandon on this inspiring promotion.

We are excited to announce and congratulate one of our team members, John Marquiss, on achieving his licensed clinical social worker certification! He enjoys working with a diverse population where he can utilize his skills in providing therapy. John is a true asset to the CWCC team.

We asked John a few questions to get to know her better, and here are his answers.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?

I really appreciate all the different people I get to work with here. It’s been great to meet so many different people who are passionate about helping people and also willing to share their knowledge with others. 

2. What do you like most about the work you do here?

I like being able to provide EMDR Therapy and having the opportunity to continue to develop my skills working with anxiety and trauma.

3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?

Not too long ago, I tried making rolls from scratch, and they turned out pretty good.

4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I would want to stop time like Piper from Charmed. That was always my favorite.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would go to Paris, France. I took five French classes in high school and a couple in college, and I would love to see some of the amazing architecture.

Amy Berry works as a clinician at CWCC. She has been part of the CWCC team for 13 years, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.

We asked Amy a few questions to get to know her better, and here are her answers.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?  My favorite part about working at CWCC is watching people grow and find relief from their mental illness and when people start to see their full potential and regain hope for their future. 
2. What do you like most about the work you do here?  Out of everything I do here, I enjoy facilitating groups with the residential clients most. 
3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?  Climbed to the white rocks on the hills at Cotton Wood. 
4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?   My superpower of choice would be to have ultimate consciousness. 
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?   Yikes, I don’t know where. I can only imagine what it would look like in my mind. Somewhere beautiful, with waterfalls, near the ocean, overseas. I would definitely like to go to Utah National Parks as well.

Communication, support, honesty, opportunity for Growth (and birthday cake Fridays).

2. What do you like most about the work you do here?

I am given countless opportunities to help people. Clients, clinicians, callers, coworkers, etc. I have been handed the ability to learn where help is needed, and to go there. Most of all, knowing that, if nothing else – I’ve saved lives in my time here.

3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?

Yankee’s Game, rodeos, fishing, trying to fit all the fun things into summer.

4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Reference Encanto – To heal all with my baked goods.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

The Causeway Coast, Northern Ireland, or The Cliffs of Moher, Ireland.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
   My favorite part of working at CWCC is getting to see clients work towards sobriety and change.
2. What do you like most about the work you do here?
   I get to interact with clients every day, and you never know where the day might lead.
3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
   I work my hardest at work and am completing my master’s degree in social work. Not a lot of
   interesting things.
4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
   I would want the ability to clone or duplicate myself.
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
   I would like to go to Greece because it is beautiful and I have always wanted to go.

Michael Bissey works as an Information Technology Specialist at CWCC. He has been a part of the team since August 2022, and we are very happy to have him! 

Michael is also a member of Wyoming’s Army National Guard, holding the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7). Michael was present during Governor Gordon’s signing of Executive Order 2023-02, which established the Wyoming Cyber Assistance Response Effort Team.

We asked Machel a few questions to get to know him better, and here are his answers.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC? 

My favorite part about working there is probably the staff I get to interact with. Everyone has been welcoming and kind.

2. What do you like most about the work we do here? 

I like that the center is here to help people be their best selves.

3. What are you most proud of in your career so far? 

I’m most proud of starting my career. It was a tough transition from corrections and field artillery to cyber security and IT.

4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? 

If I could have any superpower, it would be invincibility because there is too much to do in life and not enough time to do it all.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC?
   I really enjoy the daily opportunity to support, help and learn from clients.
2. What do you like most about the work you do here?
   My favorite part of my work is getting the chance to know people and being a small part of the
   positive change in their lives.
3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
   Recently I had the chance to teach a Mandarin language group to clients and that was a really
   rewarding experience.
4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
   I would time travel so that I could be everywhere at once; though now that I think of it,
   that might cause its own problems.
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
   I would travel to the Galapagos Islands; I really want to see more places that feel like
   the end of the earth.

   My favorite part about working here at CWCC is the team and the clientele that I work wit

   I enjoy that every day is different. The pace of work can change at any given time, so
   sometimes I am super busy and other times I have just enough time to get everything
   completed.
3. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done recently?
   I can’t say that I experience anything extraordinarily interesting while I am at work but I will
   say, I get to meet a very wide range of individuals, which can be very interesting. 🙂
4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
   For my aura to be so peaceful that I am a calming presence to anyone I am around.
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
   I would like to go to Galapagos Islands. For starters the scenery there is breathtaking. However, the selling point for me would be their tortoises, one of which lived up to 175 years old! They’re also the worlds largest tortoises growing up to five feet in length and weighing 500 pounds. Who wouldn’t want to see that?

   I like working as a team and the comradery.
2. What do you like most about the work we do here?
   I like that we give hope back to the clients we interact with.
3. What are you most proud of in your career so far?
   I am most proud of achieving my Master Endorsement, and the work I do with my
   clients and the impact it makes on their lives.
4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
   If I could choose any superpower, I think I would pick flying. I think I would really enjoy
   how free I would feel and knowing I would have the ability to go almost anywhere.

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC? 

My favorite part is how no matter your position youre listenined to and you have the ability to change things. If you feel like theres a better way or if theres something out there that can help the clients that’s yet to be discovered your supervisors and your team will listen to you and work with you. Anything we can do or add to our program to work more efficiently with our clients is something were interested in.  

2. What do you like most about the work we do here? 

It’s all inclusive. No matter if you are a client in crisis, or just need someone to talk to once a month, if you need a group meeting for substance abuse, or if you need a 90 day program it’s here. Even nurses, an onsite pharmacy and psychiatric providers. It makes my job a lot easier having everyone my clients need under one roof! 

3. What are you most proud of in your career so far? 

This leads back to my favorite part about the company. For the past few months I’ve been working on a proposal that will hopefully make the company and our case management team even better. I’m extremely excited that it will make us an even better program and give even more services to our clients.  

4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? 

I know most therapists would say telepathy to make their jobs easier but I would like a 211 superpower! Anything my client needed case management wise I would know who to call immediately depending on their situation. I think that would definitely make me a super Case Manager!

1. What is your favorite part of working at CWCC? 

My favorite part of working at CWCC is the diversity among the clients that I get to serve and my team. CWCC has also done amazing things by supporting my professional development and allowing me fantastic opportunities to expand my knowledge base. 

2. What do you like most about the work we do here? 

I like that we can provide such a wide array of services at an extremely affordable rate. Our sliding fee scale allows individuals to get services for as low as three dollars an hour, which is unheard of in the therapeutic community. Programs, such as social detox, crisis stabilization, and the independence house are such phenomenal diversion opportunities that help people in severe need, without the use of title 25 care, incarceration, or high costing medical services. The expansive assistance we can offer individuals through peer support, case management, job coaching, and quality-of-life funding, is an incredible, holistic approach to helping people get their lives restructured.

3. What are you most proud of in your career so far? 

Although I cannot take credit for the success of my clients, as they are the ones that put in the work, I am proud to be a part of so many people’s change processes. I have seen unbelievable changes in the people I work with, who have retaken control of their lives and truly found themselves in the process.

4. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? 

If I had a superpower, it would be the ability to heal people’s emotional and physical pain, through touch. I would put myself out of a job, but it would be worth it.
