Sometimes the everyday stresses of the week can build up. When those stressors become overwhelming, there is a caring individual to talk to at the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Crisis Call Specialists are trained to help with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and active rescues for callers in distress.
Crisis Call Specialists are there to assist callers who may be experiencing domestic violence, human trafficking, trauma, grief, mental health and substance use issues. Each Crisis Call Specialist will provide the comfort of being able to share your story in a confidential call and provide individualized resources as needed.

Social Detoxification Services
Central Wyoming Counseling Center has a Social Detoxification Unit (SDU), which is a non-medical residential therapeutic environment for individuals undergoing drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Our trained staff assist clients with the social components of withdrawing from addictive substances.

Social Detox provides 24-hr supervision, observation and support for individuals who are intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal but do not require medical interventions. Social Detox can also be used by individuals to help prevent relapse for up to 7 days.
Social Detox does not constitute as substance abuse treatment but does provide evaluation, stabilization, and fostering individual readiness for entry into substance abuse treatment. After a successful detoxification, clients will be given personalized recommendations for long-term solutions to their recovery.
Crisis Stabilization Unit
Sometimes, a crisis will happen and immediate action must be taken. In those times, Central Wyoming Counseling Center is only a phone call away. Our Crisis Stabilization Services are designed to be an alternative to hospitalization for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Through our Crisis Stabilization Services (CSS), our team of highly-trained professionals offers support to individuals who are experiencing intense psychiatric disorders. CSS offers residential psychiatric and behavioral health stabilization services in a calm, protected, and supervised non hospital setting. We emphasize rehabilitation, recovery, natural support systems (family & friends), and community integration.
Crisis Stabilization:

- Average stay is 3-5 days
- Voluntary Person Centered Treatment
- Supervised Non Hospital Setting
Sub Acute Residential Treatment
Individuals appropriate for the SART level of care could be experiencing severe depression, thoughts of suicide, and/or psychotic symptoms. They my also have co-occurring, substance-related diagnoses.
SART Services are appropriate for:
- Diversion from inpatient admission
- Step-down from a higher level of care
- Psychiatric Support
Individuals receiving SART services are seen by a psychiatric prescriber who may prescribe and adjust medications as needed during their stay.
