Congratulations to Amanda, a hard-working Recovery Specialist at CWCC, for being selected as our Employee of the Month for April!
This recognition is a testament to Amanda’s exceptional hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to CWCC’s mission and values. She Inspires Growth through her eagerness to learn and grow, along with her willingness to share knowledge. Her active involvement in community efforts, such as the Stone Soup Suppers with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, strengthens ties and through these Community Roots, CWCC is working to make a lasting impact beyond our office walls.
“[Amanda] often goes above and beyond!” a colleague shared. “She takes extra shifts, done extra case management services, and helped provide extra group coverage.” A second colleague added, “Her commitment to supporting those in recovery through her peer specialist training is admirable. Her commitment to our clients and teammates is what makes CWCC successful and a great place to work.”
To get to know Amanda better, we asked her a few questions:
- How do you approach challenges or obstacles at work?
I stay calm and positive and I address them head on. - How do you see CWCC’s mission and values reflected in your daily work?
Our shared mission to support and encourage change and healthy sober life for our clients is my biggest driving factor. - How do you decompress after a particularly stressful day at work?
I go home and play with my pets – I have 3 dogs one is a pug her name is Ella. I have a poodle wiener mix named Lilly, and then I have a Chihuahua named Daisy. - What’s a favorite book, movie, or TV show you’d recommend?
I would recommend “Pretty Woman” because it’s romance and funny. - What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?
I like to spend my day off by deep cleaning my house and spending time with my kids.
