Congratulations to Ashlee, a hard working and team-focused clinician at CWCC, for being selected as our Employee of the Month for September!
CWCC is proud to recognize Ashlee as our September Employee of the Month! Ashlee exemplifies our values of Compassion First and Stronger Together through her willingness to step up wherever she is needed and her consistently positive attitude. As one colleague shared, “She is always so willing to do anything that is asked. She is always happy and has a positive attitude.” Her dedication to supporting both her clients and her coworkers makes her a true asset to our team.
Her peers repeatedly highlight her reliability and collaborative spirit, reflecting the best of CWCC’s culture. One colleague noted, “Ashlee’s willingness to step in and make sure BHCs are completed during down time is truly valued. She rocks!” Another coworker shared, “She is always willing to step in and help in any area that is needed. The team is better because of her.” We are grateful for Ashlee’s contributions and the example she sets every day.
To get to know Ashlee better, we asked her a few questions:
- How do you stay organized and manage your workload effectively?
Whenever possible, I complete my notes immediately after sessions to stay on top of documentation. Wednesdays tend to be my busiest day, so I usually finish those notes Thursday morning. I also rely on our CSRs, who are incredible at keeping my schedule organized, accommodating changes, and reminding me of important details. On top of that, I use a desk calendar and make plenty of lists, which help me stay efficient and focused.
- How does CWCC’s commitment to community impact motivate you in your role?
I truly appreciate CWCC’s person-centered approach with clients. I’m inspired by the volunteer opportunities that allow us to give back directly, as well as the partnerships with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. These collaborations create a ripple effect that positively impacts the future of our community and being part of that motivates me in my role.
- How do you create boundaries to protect your mental health while working in a high-demand field like mental health services?
I’m very intentional about maintaining work-life balance. Work time is for work, but when I’m home or on vacation, I disconnect and remind myself that tasks can wait until the next day. On my days off, I prioritize self-care and family time. We love heading to the mountains to hike or enjoying outdoor family movie nights, especially in October when horror movies are a favorite tradition.
- If you could have any animal as a pet (real or mythical), what would it be and why?
If I could choose, I’d probably be Falcor from The NeverEnding Story—or a dragon in general—because the idea of flying anywhere and everywhere is really appealing.
- If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
If my life had a theme song, it would be Northern Attitude by Noah Kahan. It reflects both where I come from and the resilience I carry moving forward.
